Going Hi-Tech in 1L Criminal Law

Adventures of a technophobe (me) experimenting with hi-tech methods of addressing four longstanding problems in doctrinal 1L classes: (1) How to give students more frequent and accurate feedback than one end-of-semester final exam; (2) How to ensure that students learn not only doctrinal rules but also collaborative skills such as how to work well in teams; (3) How to obtain instant, in-class assessment of how well students are understanding current cases and other material and how well they can answer questions based on it; and (4) How to bring abstract material (e.g., elements of mens rea, elements of self defense) in Crimlaw "alive" using assigned materials.
